It still fits... kind of

So Savannah found her first Halloween costume and had to try it on. It was funnier from the front, but she would not allow many photos

Baconator

So last night I was adding a little bacon to dinner and without saying anything to Savannah she runs into the kitchen and says "smell bacon?!" I swear we have not had bacon in this house in months, but somehow she knows that smell. I had to make her some to go with her dinner and then again this morning. She is one smart cookie!

I love sunshine!

So my tan is coming back for the first time in at least 3 years and I am loving this heat. It's still no Florida humidity, but I am really enjoying the couple afternoons a week I have filled the pool outside and had some adventures with my kids and friends. I love where we live and I really love the neighbors we have.
Noah brought home a little canopy tent from work which is great for the occasional shade and for sleeping babies. We also have a little slip and slide and small pool. Between it all we have a pretty good setup and Savannah and Jaxon have a lot of fun together and with anyone who joins them. Here are a few pictures from this week. Once again Savannah had to take some pictures so I have included a few of those too.

Good friends

I love my little social butterfly and I really love to watch her with other kids. She has some great little friends and today during a shopping trip to the mall I had to take a picture of Savannah and her friend Maddy chatting it up. I believe Savannah was talking about Toy Story 3 at this point in their conversation. Just had to share!

9 Months!!

Tuesday marked 9 months since Jaxon joined our family. We took him to the Dr on Thursday for his check up and he is growing perfectly! He is almost 20 lbs, over 27 inches and is staying pretty close on track with his percentages from last time. He is SO close to walking and is standing for almost a minute without slowly lowering himself to the ground. He walks great when holding some one's hand or using a walking toy. He scored almost perfectly on the Ages and Stages questionnaire and it is supposed to be for a 10 month old! He is one happy baby and loves to laugh. He is so ticklish and loves to cuddle. I really love my little boy!

Strawberry Days

Last Thursday we decided to take the kids to Strawberry Days. Savannah had a blast! She rode a few rides and Noah and Savannah got to do some splatter paint. Jaxon even got to try it a little too when he woke up from his nap. The woman in charge of the booth asked to do a footprint of Jaxon's and then splatter paint around it. We had a wonderful time and always love the chance to do something together. :)

Photographer

So Savannah loves to take the flip camera and make videos (I will share some another time), but recently she has decided she loves our other camera too. She likes to pose toys and after making me take some shots, she has decided she likes to be the one behind the camera. I think they are pretty good. Especially the one of Jaxon.

Determined

Savannah never ceases to make me smile. Whether it's refusing to leave the house unless her toe nails are painted, needing hot rollers in her hair, or insisting on me making a butterfly costume to match the one team Umizoomi must finish for some child on their show, when Savannah has an idea, she sticks with it. You gotta love determination.

Birthday

So I know it's been a while since I have written, so I will start from my birthday. I had a great birthday. I woke up to find a living room decorated with streamers and a present on the table that Savannah "picked out." I got 2 cds, a giant bag of haribo gummy bears and a bag of laffy taffy. Savannah was very excited and told me over and over that "it's Daddy's birthday." I had to tell her several times, and I think she finally got that it was my birthday.

We had breakfast with my parents, my sister Erin and my nephew Kaden. Then, my mom took me out for a mani/pedi and my dad watched Savannah and Jaxon. I returned to find them both asleep. My dad is a miracle worker!

After Noah got home from work we had a little downtime before we took the kids to my friend Ginger's house and Noah and I went out for dinner. We had a great time just the two of us. It was the second time in about a year. We brought cake to Ginger's when we picked up the kids and had a late, but fun night. Between the family, friends, a treadmill, new stroller and everything else, I had a very great day.

Birthday

I am turning 25 in two days!! For my quarter life crisis I have some things planned to help better myself. Noah is helping me with part of it. I told him a while ago that I was looking at used treadmills online and that I picked out a jogging stroller I was planning on getting. My super awesome husband is not good at keeping secrets. I saw him pull up with a brand new treadmill hanging out of his trunk yesterday (that is now in our house) and he left the order confirmation out for the double jogging stroller he ordered. I am so excited!! I am running a half marathon on Oct 30th and this is going to really help me get ready for it.

Another part of bettering myself is de-cluttering. I realized we have so much stuff!! So next week my friend and I are having a yard sale and whatever is left is going to the thrift store. I am so ready to de-clutter and so this week I am going through everything in my house.

There are many other things I have planned... but dont worry, another baby is not part of the plan. I know my track record is not very good, 21-got married, 22-had a baby, 23-got pregnant, 24- had a baby, 25- planning on enjoying the 2 kids I have!!

Finally!!

So Savannah has been randomly peeing on the potty for a few weeks. She has had days of being all dry and days of refusing to wear panties, but today was a monumental day. Savannah POOPED on the potty!!!! I have not been pushing her to potty train too much because she is one stubborn girl, but after her third time peeing on the potty today she heard a "plop" and this look of confusion came over her. I am happy I was right there to get excited and tell her what she was doing was great! After a few more little "plops" Savannah got to put a sticker on the very lonely poop labeled section of her potty chart. I am one proud momma and am ready to get this potty training rolling in full motion. She has about 30 more diapers until I refuse to by more, but I think she is ready.
Note: I almost took a picture, but decided that might be weird :)

Joys of a Toddler

There is always a joyous time in a young toddler's life when they start to choose what to wear instead of trusting the loving help of parents. Savannah is starting to yearn for this little glimpse of independence and who am I to take away that? She got this Minnie Mouse dress from my parents on Friday and you better believe she HAD to wear it Saturday. I did get some strange looks from people at Costco and Walmart, but most people commented on how cute she was. She picked the shoes too! (I have no idea why the picture is turning when I upload it, but I still had to share)
