Sweet Surprise

So a couple months ago Noah accidentally broke one side of my double electric breast pump when trying to put the tubing in for me. So I have been trying to track down a local place that has a new faceplate so I did not have to pay $11 shipping from the Medela site. We finally gave in after I broke the other side a week ago and Jaxon decided he will only take bottles. So Sunday night I finally found the page on the Medela site to order spare parts and we ordered a new face plate and new tubing. All together it was like $29, so not too bad and better than paying another $200 for a new pump. So yesterday I was checking my email and I got a message from Medela. For no reason we can figure out they said we were getting the parts and shipping all free. Weird... but AWESOME!

Catch up from the last 2 weeks

So we have been very busy the past couple of weeks. Between shopping for Christmas and Noah changing to another store, we have had to buy new beds, Noah made a trip to an Diego and Jaxon got sick again. Let's start from the beginning. Noah found out about two weeks ago that is Grandpa was not doing better and to expect that he would be making a trip out to California. Grandpa George died on the 11th and Noah left last Tuesday morning for the funeral. I wish we could have gone, but anyone who has seen Savannah lately knows she does not sit still and Jaxon is a bit of a random crier.
We will miss you Grandpa George! Sorry Jaxon did not get to meet you!

Noah did have a good time seeing his family and he missed out on some not so fun events at home. Savannah started climbing out of her crib, Jaxon was sick and cried all the time, and the house became a disaster zone. I had to rearrange my schedule at work but we managed to survive until Noah got home. We then began the hunt for a new bed for Savannah. It took 3 days, but after finding out her crib was actually recalled we got a kick in the rear to get it done. We were able to return her crib and get a full refund last Saturday before starting a 7 hour shopping trip. She now has a new bed from Ikea and is sleeping ok in it at night (nap time is a different story). She got the works, new bed, mattress, bedding. Jaxon got a new crib too that I really love! Dressers will come next for both of them and slowly their new rooms will be complete.

The crib we got Jaxon. I just set it up and I love it! I will post a picture of it eventually

Our tree with Savannah's and Jaxon's presents

Christmas came and went. I did not feel very happy on Christmas day. We had Savannah open the presents to her and Jaxon on Christmas Eve morning and enjoyed the day together until I started my marathon of work that evening. I'm not trying to complain because I totally signed myself up for it, but I worked a lot on Christmas Day and it bothered me way more than I thought it would. I kept telling myself that the kids would never remember, without thinking that I would. I missed Savannah loving the Disney Christmas Parade and playing with toys. I missed listening to Christmas music, eating breakfast together and all the little smiles Savannah and Jaxon gave. Instead I went from work to scrubbing my house, then work, back to cleaning and then back to work. I thought we were having company today so instead of enjoying the time I did have with my family I was scrambling around and barking orders at Noah for what to do when I left again. Not my finest 48 hours and I was definitely not feeling the Christmas spirit.

Christmas Cards

So I ordered cards last week. I pretty much did the same thing as last year and decided to order them and take pictures all in 20 minutes. The pictures aren't the best, but at least I will be sending something. Especially since we never got Jaxon's announcements out. Here are a few pictures that did not make the cut.
