This should make you smile

So this morning when I got home from work Savannah and I were playing a bunch before I got up to get something out of the kitchen. In the seconds she was in the other room she managed to poop and then stick her hand down the back of her diaper. I was not aware of this, but she soon followed me into the kitchen and asked to be picked up. Immediately she wiped something on my face and then my shirt and kept picking at her finger nails. She likes to "wash hands," as she puts it, so after her asking I turned the water on and while helping... I smelled it, looked in the mirror and knew my child had just put poop on my face. I feel so loved. I quickly got her into the shower with me and scrubbed her nails and my face very well. I hope this made someone laugh, cause I sure thought it was funny.

Baby Turned!

So I was in so much pain last night and Noah had no idea what to do, but amidst it all our little guy became head down. Even though my tummy felt like a giant bruise and every time he moved I wanted to throw up or scream, I am very excited that he is head down and I am 1 cm. The 1 cm makes me nervous because once I started dilating with Savannah, she was here 6 days later. We will just have to see. :) At least my hospital bag is packed and his bassinet and clothes are ready

Wish I Could Freeze Time

So after I got home from work this morning Savannah was so excited to see me. We played and sorted laundry, she led me to the fridge so she could get a drink for herself, got me a diet coke, and then we watched the rest of the Hanna Montana movie. I can not tell you how much I love my little girl. I seriously am having little emotional moments every day wondering what I am doing having another baby because life could not be more amazing right now. Sure we could have a house and make more money, but I would be happy if everyday was just like this morning.

Savannah sat in my lap and then would get up and dance. She is an awesome dancer and makes me smile so big every time. Today she had to strip down naked and then clap over her head and sway like the audience did in the closing concert of the movie. I don't know why it had to be done naked, but it sure made me laugh. I wish she would stop growing right now and stay this age forever. It makes me sad to think that she will change a lot from this stage and will probably hate me in 12 years. I just want her to stay my amazing, funny, beautiful little princess forever.

She is starting to get into babies A LOT! She carries her cabbage patch, my old one she has now adopted, or any other baby she can find, anywhere and everywhere if possible. She likes to dress them, feed them and push them in her stroller. It warms my heart and I know she is going to be a great big sister. I hope she carries them around forever and never stops pretending and using her little imagination. Little figurines are now dancing and talking thanks to her, and she even pretends she is a cat or a dog and crawls on the floor making noises. I seriously never ever want her to get bigger because she is perfect right now. Sure she does not listen often and keeps me on my toes, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Savannah does her own baby proofing

Savannah is such a funny little girl. We moved a few weeks ago and so far she has not gotten into the cabinets in the kitchen until the past few days. Friday she pulled out all the cake pans and had a little drum session going. I was ok with that, but last night when she discovered the cleaning products under the sink was a different story. It became time to put up the baby proofing draw/cabinet things. Savannah was more than ok with this... she even wanted to help. It took about 30 minutes longer than it should of because Savannah decided she loves tools, especially the screwdriver.
On another note, its been a week since we discovered the awkward position of the baby and nothing has changed. I can still feel his head at the top of my belly and when he moves, its only slightly to the left or right. I have been trying the exercising and crazy laying positions people have told me I need to try to move him, but so far no luck. We will see what the Dr says next Monday.

No more hospital please!!

So I really wanted to make this pregnancy consist of one hospital visit and that should be for delivery. Well, this is not working out like I planned. Last week I went to get my blood drawn for a second antibody m test and was there for almost an hour! Poor Noah was stuck trying to entertain Savannah while I had to be pulled aside into a room by a strange man to discuss why i needed the test, followed by the people in the lab taking 30 minutes just to find what codes they needed to enter to print labels for my 2 tubes of blood.

So yesterday I go in for my normal OB visit and am told to go have an NST done to track fetal movement. I went over to Labor and Delivery when Noah got home. It took the nurse almost 5 minutes just to find his heartbeat and where to put the monitors. She asked me if the Dr told me he was breech... that was news to me. I laid there for an hour and everything was fine. They told me I had to come back to the hospital today for an AFI before they sent me home.

Today I went in for my AFI. The fluid levels were fine, the baby was fine, and everything else looked good except his position. While Savannah drove hot wheels up my legs and on the ultrasound tech's arms, the tech was telling me she had never seen a baby in this position. The baby is in between a breech and transverse position. She said he is running out of room and since he already does not move much, he may not be moving into a head down position anytime soon. For right now, his head is near my left rib, his bum on the lower left, and his feet are by my right hip. Only time will tell if he gets to where he is supposed to. All I know is that chasing Savannah and recoverying from a C-section would make life pretty crazy. :)
