Baby Bongard #2 is a...

So we went to the Dr today to have an ultrasound. We are very excited that we are having a BOY! I was a little nervous at first because I have been thinking it all along, but was not for sure and I don't know how to take care of a baby boy. I am slightly hesitant going into this new territory, but I am excited. Its strange how little things like less acne and my belly not being so high had already convinced me to the point that I have boy bedding and only a boy name picked out. Mother's intuition in the womb maybe? I know Savannah wont have her little buddy and we wont be buying bunk beds for at least a few more years now, but I am very happy.

The second the ultrasound started this was out first look. Its a little look at the "it's a boy" view.
This is my favorite picture with a view of his arm and a profile of his face.

I don't really see it, but this is his face

Congrats Todd!

My brother graduated from BYU yesterday. It was really awesome to be able to spend the some time with my whole family and celebrate his accomplishment. We had a little BBQ after and the kids had a great time playing. Congrats Todd! I am very proud of you. Anyone know of any Spanish teaching positions open in Utah valley?

Puppy playtime

So our awesome friends Bret and Nicole got a chocolate lab puppy on Monday and brought her by to meet Savannah. She is only 6 weeks old and so cute. We got to play with her at the park again on Tuesday and Savannah tried to walk her on the leash but was frustrated when the puppy just wanted to chew on things. Thought I would share a few pictures of little Cocoa

Easter

So I finally put the sad pictures I have from Easter onto our computer. I know its been a week, but oh well. We had a sweet Easter basket for Savannah when she came downstairs and between the stuffed animals, candy, a few eggs, mickey figures and the Little People Noah's Ark, she was very happy. We went to church and ended up leaving early because Savannah freaked out when she did not see us in nursery and she hit nap time. We took a family nap and then went over to our very good friends, the Robertson's new home for dinner. Savannah loves both of them and they have been like second parents to her since she has been born. They hid her eggs at their house, so when we got to the door, I handed her a basket and off she went. Nicole got a lot of good pictures and I will get them from her sometime soon, but in the mean time, here is what I have.
She found the guitar hero guitar while hunting.
Quickly dropping off some eggs
Nice hand full

lipstick face paint

I love EVERY minute with my child. Is that odd? She never fails to surprise me. Even when she lays on the ground and fake cries to get her way, I can't help but love her so so much. She is so creative and independent and amazes me every day.
Today was another fun surprise. I was letting her put the make up (from the little clinique bonus bag I got today) in piles and rows, until I realized she had opened the lipstick tube and was painting her face with it. I don't even wear lipstick, so once again I am wondering where she learns this girlie behavior. Of course she would not take her binky out, so the lipstick was on her cheek. I love my funny little girl

My new favorite things

Electric toothbrush... Savannah will finally not scream when we brush her teeth and does a pretty good job herself now. Thank you Hello Kitty toothbrush from Target
New Desk... We decided to move the computer downstairs and its wonderful. Now baby #2 can have a room that will slowly become ready, and we can play games, a lot more music, and anything else we need to on here, without having to bring Savannah upstairs. She can still play while I blog! The desk is from Ikea and I love it. We also go a new dvd shelf because we broke one in the process of moving everything around. I want to get another one to replace the bookshelf on the right that holds movies in front of other ones. I like them to be seen, not hunted behind other ones.
My other new favorite thing... (not pictured) is the new Dove nectarine and white ginger deodorant. I love it!! It may be because my sent is all messed up now, but I could smell my pits all day. :)

Making room for baby

So Noah and I were talking the other day about how our desk is falling apart and how we should move it to the upstairs landing or downstairs so the new baby can have a room. Well, Noah is a take action kind of guy, so within a day of our talk, we now own a new desk and are in the process of putting it downstairs. I will post pics later once we finish putting it together.

I know I am only 17 weeks prego, but when the dr says you have a one in 300 chance of miscarriage, I guess its time to start getting things ready. We are like turtles instead of hares. Slowly making room and getting ready was our game plan with Savannah and again this time around. We already paid Savannah through the year for her Little Gym, to make sure its something she does not miss out on when the baby comes, and are picking out everything. We have our budgets and when to buy what planned out, so it does not seem so crazy all at once. I thought having a second baby would cost less, but not when you decide to get the things you lived without the first time around. We are getting a better crib, hutch, bassinet, swing, double stroller, etc. Not to mention Savannah is almost ready for some big girl furniture. It all adds up.
