Miserable baby

So shortly after sending Noah off to his new job in Boise, Jaxon began to scream and scream and scream and scream!!! I could get him calm for a few minutes, but the slightest movement, sound, well anything really would get him going again. I waited from about 10:45 until 3:30, when I decided enough was enough and called the Dr. First question was how much is an appointment with out having insurance and the second was if the nurse thought I should bring Jaxon in. An appointment was made for 4:30, and by 6:30 Jaxon had received a full physical, blood work done at the hospital lab and there were no answers as well as a very concerned Dr. 7:30, his pediatrician called me to tell me that the blood work results gave him none of the answers he wanted other than showing him something is wrong. And that he was still unsure of what is wrong. I told him that Jaxon hadn't screamed in the past hour and seemed a little more mellow so we both agreed to see how the night went. Jaxon woke up at 3 while I was changing his diaper and taking his temp. 102.6, just what I did not want to see. I spent a couple hours trying to get his temp down and hardly sleeping. Jaxon woke up a couple times with no major issues other than temperature. At 8am he was so happy and played, ate, and seemed fairly normal. Dr called me at 9 to check on him and I reported how great he had been since waking up. Jaxon was fine for about another hour and then just seemed tired and miserable with a slight fever on and off all day. He wouldn't eat much today, so I tried to feed him before putting him to bed, which he threw up all over himself. A bath and half hour of snuggle time helped him go to bed ok. I just hope this ends soon. I want my baby boy to be smiling and happy again. I am ready for August to be done so I can be in the same place as Noah. I'll miss my great friends, but I am ready to not be a single mom anymore. These two days have worn me out mentally, physically, emotionally...

Pictures!

So brace yourselves... this is a long post. Ginger (http://posiesphoto.blogspot.com/) took some amazing pictures and I had to share! I have been having a hard time deciding which ones to post because I love them all. There are a lot more, but here is a large sampling!
These were taken over two days and the first pictures were taken in an old home. Savannah and her friend Maddy had a little tea party and then found over a picnic basket. Jaxon got a few cute pictures too! Some background info on Savannah's hair. It's usually very straight, but Savannah loves hot rollers and I left them in a little longer than usual. :)
Day two of pictures was at the Amphitheater up the road. Noah and I were not planning on being in any pictures, but while random holding and playing was occurring we ended up in a few super cute ones.

July 4th!

Been a while, so time for catch up! So even though we live in the state of Utah, which celebrates almost no holidays on Sunday, a group of friends and I decided that the 4th of July should be celebrated on the 4th! So we got together for a bbq, playtime for the kids and fireworks. My poor children passed out before the big firework show. It may have been a good thing though, because before Savannah begged us to let her go to bed, she hid and screamed at the sight of sparklers and anything else involving fire. Yes, that's right... Savannah is afraid of something! Noah and our friend Danny both had a great time lighting everything and it was really nice to have a few hours with Noah to just sit by each other and relax without chasing kids. This is a way cute collage of pictures my friend Ginger took (and I am stealing). I am very proud of my cupcakes. I could not find a chocolate star mold anywhere so I attempted them by hand in about 5 minutes so I could get them in the freezer before church :)

Reed in his awesome hat and Savannah and Maddy playing in the wagon. I love all these kids! Savannah has awesome little friends!

Sweet, sweet Target

So I love the dollar spot at Target, like most people. They occasionally have some not so junkie items, but my favorite are the batteries. I know that do not last as long, and are not super good quality, but when they drop to $.25 a pack I cannot resist. I love to use them in toys. Today I got 16 packs. My stock of AA, AAA, C and 9 Volt are replenished and set for a while. Well worth $4.

I also love their baby clothes. They have to best deals and when it comes to play clothes you can never had too many. I have to check out their sales and clearance section pretty much weekly, but I find really great deals! Jean shorts for $3 today :)

Favorites finds I did not purchase today. I found a super cute Finding Nemo swimming pool with a detachable slide for $17. I hid it and decided that I will take it as a sign that we need it if it is still there next week. Other favorite, they now have really cute petunia pickle bottom diaper bags! I am pretty sad I already got 2 new bags in the past month.

9am... you kow where I am

So after having my very much adored jj cole diaper bag filled with fermented apple juice, I was in the market for a new one. I asked around for every one's favorite bags and was directed to this site. Babysteals.com, and then found kidsteals.com. Every morning at 9am they change items and only have a limited amount so you have to snatch them up before they're gone. Each site has something different each day and the items are always at a great discount. The sites are also based out of Murray Utah (20 minutes away) and have local pick up for free, as well as the option of shipping. Even after finding this bag from the gap for $58 2 weeks ago I had to nab this find today off of babysteals for $34!
