3 years!

So Wednesday marked 3 years that Noah and I have been married. Crazy to think of how our lives have changed in that little amount of time, but it has been amazing. We were blessed earlier than expected with our sweet Savannah which brought our lives from Idaho to Utah. Its been a blessing to start our family here and we have made some amazing friends, been blessed with our jobs, have family nearby and have had great opportunities to grow together. We now have two amazing kids and I am so happy that our family has been able to become more complete.
Noah is a great husband and father. He is the kind of guy that will go get me tacos in the middle of the night, send me on trips on my own to see friends and family when he knows I need it and he can't take the time off, works really hard to put his family first, and makes sure we are always taken care of. He will get up the second Savannah makes noise on his days off and let me sleep in, is never afraid to change a diaper, and loves taking Savannah to Little Gym. He loves his family and it shows. He tells me he loves me at least 10 times a day and tells me he is glad he married me every night as I am nursing Jaxon to sleep. He takes Savannah shopping and always wants her to be happy. He will take Savannah up to bed and teaches her to pray while I listen through the monitor.
He may seem a bit hard headed and stubborn sometimes, but its one of the things that makes Noah so great. He is so determined. I am one lucky gal! I love you Noah.

Kiddie Kandids trip

So we took the kids last Thursday to get some pictures taken. Savannah just wanted to run around and touch everything so it made the process a bit more difficult. I wasn't super happy with what we got, but here are the final pictures. For some reason Kiddie Kandids now gives you a super tiny version emailed to you instead of the bigger pictures, so you may have to squint a bit. We bought a few of the first one.

Savannah's Birthday Party

On Saturday we finally had a birthday party for Savannah. I wanted to make sure Jaxon was at least a few weeks old, which means a few weeks after her real birthday. We had it at the Little Gym and I think it was pretty fun. The kids just got to run around and play for an hour before we headed upstairs for cake and presents. The first half hour was a little rough for Savannah. She really wanted to eat cake instead of play, which led to a bit of an emotional meltdown. It took her cousins walking through the door to calm her down. Here are a few pictures of the party.

I must look awesome in public

So I just got back from a super quick to Walmart and I must look totally awesome to people when its just the kids and I. First I have still not mastered who to get out of the car first. I had Jaxon in the car seat in one hand and with the other hand I was trying to get Savannah out of her seat. Im sure it looked like some sort of child abuse as I lifted her out by her wrist. I promise she did not get hurt! Then I was trying to get inside while my diaper bag was falling down my arm, Savannah was walking at turtle speed and my pants started falling down. (Fun image... I know!) I stopped some guy halfway to the door and asked if I could have his cart, which made him have to wait inside his car for me to get my kids in it and I did not think to move the cart from behind hid car first. So then I try to bribe Savannah with french fries to sit in the cart. She dumped them out as soon as we passed the Walmart greeter and store manager. I did not notice until I had a 10 ft trail of fries behind me. I had the old lady greeter and the manager helping me pick them up and then he kept trying to talk to me and tell me it was ok over and over, like I was going to break down over fries. He kept asking me if I wanted him to go ask for more. I just wanted to get away from the situation. Then Savannah kept standing in the cart, which I could not see too well because she is just short enough for my view to be covered by the car seat. I got some dirty looks from employees and a few of them told her to sit. Lets just say that we will be staying home for a while again. Trips aren't so bad when we use the stroller, but I do look pretty awesome trying to get that 40lbs thing in and out of my car.

So yesterday during the end of the first session of Conference I somehow ended up with both my kids passed out on me. I was stuck and couldn't get up, and to make it a little more challenging for me, the remote was across the room. I wasn't going anywhere so I just sat for a few minutes and thought about life. If you knew me 4 years ago my life was very different. I had not met Noah yet, had no intention of ever getting married and did not want kids for at least 10 years. Funny how life changes and its totally for the better. I could not imagine my life without my favorite 3 people in it.

When Noah and I were seriously dating the topic of how many kids do you want came up. I remember Noah saying he wanted 6 and I only wanted 2, so we thought an even compromise of 4 would work. Now I want as many as we can afford and care for. I love my kids! People have asked me if I have had any hint of post partum depression or baby blues this time around and the answer is no! The only time I got remotely emotional enough to cry was when I thought about how I only get to hold a new baby so many times in my life and how it goes by too fast. I'm crazy and actually love getting up to feed my little Jaxon because I only get to have that time and experience with him for such a short portion of his life.

I love my family! I love my little helpless and sweet baby. I love my crazy toddler who tests every rule and boundary. Most of all I love my amazing husband who works so hard to take care of us and then comes home to do dishes and hold and play with his kids before I get my kiss goodnight. You never know what people will change your life, but I am one of the lucky ones who has had my life changed for the better by my amazing family and I am so excited to see how life turns out... as long as it does not come too fast :)

Let Sleeping Babies Lie

Jaxon loves to sleep with his stuffed puppy dog. Guess I have another stuffed animal lover.
Savannah will sleep anywhere, any position and holding anything. This was nap time 2 days ago.

I Love My Little Family!

So it has been a while since I have posted anything, and even though I have not left the house much, it has been an eventful 12 days since Jaxon has joined our family.

We brought Jaxon home from the hospital on Thursday the 17th, which was also Savannah's 2nd birthday. Noah took her to Little Gym that morning and then to the Sweet Tooth Fairy in Provo, for some amazing cupcakes. My friend Ginger brought us pizza too. It was a really nice day. I feel bad that her birthday was a little stomped on, so she is having a party on Oct. 10th at the Little Gym, which will be about her instead of her brother. :)

Noah took Savannah shopping on Friday. He is such a sweet daddy. She got money from family for her birthday, so Noah and I decided she really needed some clothes for the fall/winter. He did a really good job picking out some outfits. They took little trips to the store together pretty much everyday for a week and now Noah is Savannah's buddy and she drags him everywhere and wants him to help her instead of me. She is becoming more and more a Daddy's girl. They even nap together.
Monday Savannah went to her 2 year appointment with the Pediatrician. I really love the Dr we found when Savannah was born. He is super nice and has no problem spending time with us and talking about whatever. He also got a good laugh at Savannah dancing around the room in her diaper and socks. So she is almost 28 lbs (65 %tile), 34.75 inches (76 %tile), and her head is 19 inches (71 %tile). She is getting so big!

Monday night my family came over for a belated birthday party for Savannah. Its so nice to have my family close. We dont see each other all the time, but just knowing they are close is comforting. My mom was able to be there for Jaxon's birth, and makes sure she comes over to hold him for a few minutes every week. I love knowing my kids will get to know their family between seeing my family here and our trips to San Diego.
My kids are great! Savannah is so sweet to Jaxon and loves to give him little kisses and hold him whenever she can.
