Jaxon is here!

Jaxon is Awesome! He hardly ever makes a sound and did not even cry for his circumcision. He loves to cuddle, eat and sleep. He makes lots of funny little faces and likes to watch his big sister. We love him and are so excited he is here!

I was able to be induced on Tuesday and 9 hours after getting to the hospital, our little Jaxon Tyler Bongard made his appearance. I was hooked up to pitocin around noon, dr broke my water at 3:30, was at 5cm at 7:15 and then by some awesome power I was at 10cm at 7:54 and pushed for 9 minutes. It was a super easy Labor except for my epidural. The poor guy shoving the needle in my spine said I was the hardest one he has ever done. It took over a half hour and lots of tears, but was well worth it. :) Now I just have a big bruise on my back and cant forget the sound of him scraping against my spine with the needle, but I would get it again!

floating baby lies!

So I have always thought that the floating baby tickers are creepy, so of course I had to put one on here. Just want you to know that the floating baby lies! It says I have 0 days left. Well, I should as I am due today, but I am pretty sure I am going over. I wonder if it will start telling me how many days over tomorrow.

I am grateful for a great Dr

So I know there are some Dr's out there that are a bit money hungry and push c sections, but I realized that I really lucked out. I found out this morning that I have not progressed at all in the past 3 weeks and that though I was supposed to be induced on the 4th (our plan all along), my body is just not ready. I have cried on the way home from my last 2 appointments because I feel like for some reason its my fault that I cant dilate, but today I felt a little better as my Dr explained that this baby is just so high and not coming down so inducing would lead to a c section, which my Dr wants to avoid for my sake. I think he apologized to me 3 times (like it was his fault my body isn't pushing things along).

After 3 attempts at castor oil, miles of walking, eating everything that a wives tale out there suggests, I have decided that I should side with my Dr and really think of what is best... waiting. My due date is in 3 days and I will probably go over it, my hopes of my kids birthdays being further apart will not happen, but I am finally ok with it all. I just want this little guy to be safe and though my back is aching and I am so incredibly tired, I think I will just put it in God's hands and hope he is ok. I have an ultrasound on Thursday to check his size and position and am hoping things are lined up the way they should be. I'm just grateful for a Dr that doesn't push or risk the unnecessary.

No Baby yet!

So I went to the Dr on Monday and had made no progress from the week before. Apparently I took it a little too easy out of fear that something would happen at work. Well, I finished my last shift on Wednesday and now we are playing the waiting game. I was supposed to get induced this Friday, but the Dr said it would not go well and I would probably get sent home or it would be really long since I am only at 1cm. So I have tried all the natural things I can to just help things move along, hoping when I see the Dr on Tuesday he will tell me that I can go over to the hospital. Even though I wont have a baby in time for the Kiddie Kandids sale this weekend, I will be able to help Savannah finish her antibiotics from her ear infection and do her temperature taking for a week from her H1N1 vaccine trial (which is something I would have felt really bad pawning off on my sister when we have the baby). I guess its a blessing in disguise. So their birthdays will not be as far apart and I will have to wait a little longer to hold my baby, at least I have a super awesome little girl who will cuddle with me for now. :)

I wonder if he will look at all like Savannah did...

This should make you smile

So this morning when I got home from work Savannah and I were playing a bunch before I got up to get something out of the kitchen. In the seconds she was in the other room she managed to poop and then stick her hand down the back of her diaper. I was not aware of this, but she soon followed me into the kitchen and asked to be picked up. Immediately she wiped something on my face and then my shirt and kept picking at her finger nails. She likes to "wash hands," as she puts it, so after her asking I turned the water on and while helping... I smelled it, looked in the mirror and knew my child had just put poop on my face. I feel so loved. I quickly got her into the shower with me and scrubbed her nails and my face very well. I hope this made someone laugh, cause I sure thought it was funny.

Baby Turned!

So I was in so much pain last night and Noah had no idea what to do, but amidst it all our little guy became head down. Even though my tummy felt like a giant bruise and every time he moved I wanted to throw up or scream, I am very excited that he is head down and I am 1 cm. The 1 cm makes me nervous because once I started dilating with Savannah, she was here 6 days later. We will just have to see. :) At least my hospital bag is packed and his bassinet and clothes are ready

Wish I Could Freeze Time

So after I got home from work this morning Savannah was so excited to see me. We played and sorted laundry, she led me to the fridge so she could get a drink for herself, got me a diet coke, and then we watched the rest of the Hanna Montana movie. I can not tell you how much I love my little girl. I seriously am having little emotional moments every day wondering what I am doing having another baby because life could not be more amazing right now. Sure we could have a house and make more money, but I would be happy if everyday was just like this morning.

Savannah sat in my lap and then would get up and dance. She is an awesome dancer and makes me smile so big every time. Today she had to strip down naked and then clap over her head and sway like the audience did in the closing concert of the movie. I don't know why it had to be done naked, but it sure made me laugh. I wish she would stop growing right now and stay this age forever. It makes me sad to think that she will change a lot from this stage and will probably hate me in 12 years. I just want her to stay my amazing, funny, beautiful little princess forever.

She is starting to get into babies A LOT! She carries her cabbage patch, my old one she has now adopted, or any other baby she can find, anywhere and everywhere if possible. She likes to dress them, feed them and push them in her stroller. It warms my heart and I know she is going to be a great big sister. I hope she carries them around forever and never stops pretending and using her little imagination. Little figurines are now dancing and talking thanks to her, and she even pretends she is a cat or a dog and crawls on the floor making noises. I seriously never ever want her to get bigger because she is perfect right now. Sure she does not listen often and keeps me on my toes, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
